Overview

Jota’s home event will see the Jackie Chan DC Racing Oreca-Gibson’s take on the fearsome challenge of the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit. Testing corners such as Copse, Becketts, Stowe and Abbey are sure to extract maximum commitment from the teams and drivers.

Last year it was a dream start for Jota as they scored a clear pole position and a third placed finish to kick start the WEC campaign.

This season will be the first that the new faster LMP2 designs have been seen in public for the first time.

Often, and quite rightly acknowledged as one of the world’s best racing circuits, Spa’s relentless challenges are a favourite among almost all the WEC drivers.

This season with more horsepower and grip, the LMP2 cars will be as spectacular as ever through Eau Rouge, Pouhon, Stavelot and Blanchimont.

In 2016 the Jota team celebrated a second consecutive pole position at the track where they scored an outright class win in 2015.

Overview

The big one! The one they all want to win, and Jota have one of the best records among all of the teams at La Sarthe in recent seasons. A win in 2014 was followed by two further podium visits in ‘15 and ’16.

A brutally tough week of on-track action calls for some cerebral racing at this the ultimate test of endurance. The track is quick and so traffic management key to a good result at Le Mans. No mistakes and a consistent run reap dividends at Le Mans.

2017 will see the fastest ever LMP2 times set. Will the new cars duck under the 3m30s barrier? It will be thrilling just to find out how much closer they can get to the LMP1 rocket ships.

Overview

This will be the third time the WEC has appeared at the spiritual home of European racing. The famous ‘green hell’ is not quite as ferocious as it once was but the technical nature of the new Nürburgring still makes for a challenge with modern sportscars.

Last season Jota took a fourth consecutive pole position here and this year the Jackie Chan DC Racing pair of Oreca’s will be keen to replicate that achievement in the Eifel mountains.

Overview

The inaugural 6 Hours of Mexico was a roaring success in 2016 with a large and vocal crowd descending on the home of the Mexican Grand Prix.

It was a bitter sweet weekend for Jota as superb race pace looked set to serve-up a first win of the season until a late race brake component failure brought disappointment.

The team will be set to right the wrong in 2017 on the high-altitude track which combines a long straight with several chicanes and the famous stadium section.

Now a staple of the WEC calendar, the 6 Hours of COTA races in to the night on one of the best modern tracks ever constructed.

The unique Tex-Mex feel of the area close to Austin, one of the US’ most progressive and culturally rich cities is a highlight for many US endurance fans.

The stifling heat and humidity usually create an added headache for the drivers as they tested to the maximum on the relentless 3.427-mile track.

Racing beneath the magical Mount Fuji, the tremendously fast Fuji Speedway track has legendary status after hosting the incredible finale to the 1976 F1 title race between Hunt and Lauda.

Since 2012 it has been the spiritual home of Japanese endurance racing and lends itself to spectacular racing due to the mile long straight and tight technical sector three.

Last season Jota masterminded a thrilling victory as Will Stevens hunted down Brno Senna twice to score the first of three straight wins.

The home of the Chinese Grand Prix since 2004, the Shanghai International Circuit has just about every conceivable corner from a never ending first right hander, to a quick sweeper section and even a slow hairpin at the end of a three-quarter mile back straight.

The race is now an established fixture in the WEC and last season Jota scored a brilliant victory to complete a perfect Asian leg of the WEC calendar.
