Saturday 15th April will not only see the 30+ prototype and GT superstars go all out to qualifying for the first pole positions of the year, but also the first race of the 2017 European Le Mans Series, the 4 Hours of Silverstone which begins at 14:30. Also competing within the festival of endurance racing will be the popular Porsche Carrera Cup GB with a race on Saturday and a second on Sunday morning prior to the weekend’s main event.

As it precedes the cornerstone of the WEC, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Belgian race is considered as a grand dress rehearsal for the endurance classic and often features additional entries, new aerodynamic and technical packages and full driver line-ups.  More to see, more to follow, more entertainment and more excitement!

While this is only the second visit to this venue for the WEC, the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez has strong historical links to the world of endurance racing and some members of the WEC paddock have tasted success in Mexico.

 

Located within the public park of the Magdalena Mixhuca Sports City in southeast Mexico City, the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez is a 4.304 km (2.674 mi) 17 turn race track named after Mexican racing brothers, Ricardo and Pedro Rodríguez, the latter a well-established endurance racer.

The circuit’s premier sportscar weekend takes place from 15-17 September, and features the FIA World Endurance Championship and IMSA’s WeatherTech SportsCar Championship as well as an incredible range of entertainment both on and off track – something for all the family.
